Established in Rome in 1964 by Rosana Pistolese, Haute Couture Fashion designer and Costume designer for theatre, television and cinema, Accademia Costume & Moda (ACM) has become today one of the best reputed fashion schools in Italy and worldwide.

Business of Fashion (BoF) “Global Fashion School Ranking 2019” awarded ACM with 4 Badges of Excellence among the Best Schools in the World for Bachelor and Master courses; in Italy #1 (ex equo) for fashion courses accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR).

In more than 50 years of activity ACM has developed a strong relationship with the fashion and entertainment industry to design academic programs aimed at providing an all-round educational experience, with the final objective of career placement and development of a personal creative identity.

ACM offers:

FOUNDATION COURSE (8 MONTHS | Intake September 2019 (Italian language module included) – November 2019 (excluded Italian module)

  • Preparatory course to the Bachelor Degree programs in Costume & Fashion and Fashion Styling, Editor & Communication and to achieve the minimum language requirements and years of schooling needed to access Italian Universities or Academies.

BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAMS (3 YEARS - 180 ECTS | Intake October 2019 | Italian Taught)

  • Costume & Fashion

  • Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication

  • Cinema & Filmmaking: Media Design & Multimedia Arts

Entry Requirements

  • High School diploma obtained after at least 12 years of schooling

  • Italian language proficiency certificate (B2 Level CEFR) is required

Admission Requirements

  • Entry Portfolio according to the guidelines given by Accademia Costume e Moda

  • Motivational Statement

  • Admission Interview

MASTER PROGRAMS (1 YEAR - 60 ECTS | Intake November 2019 | English Taught through consecutive translation from Italian)

  • Alta Moda Fashion Design

  • Accessories Design (in collaboration with Fendi and Salvatore Ferragamo)

  • Art and Craft of the Costume Designer (in collaboration with Costume Shops)

  • Creative Knitwear Design (developed in collaboration with Modateca Deanna and more than 40 companies in the excellence of the Italian Knitwear District)

  • Fashion Jewelry Design

  • Italian language proficiency certificate (B1 Level CEFR) or English language proficiency certificate (5.0 IELTS or equivalent certification)

MASTER OF ARTS PROGRAMS (2 YEARS - 120 ECTS | Intake November 2019 | English Taught through consecutive translation from Italian)

  • Costume Design & Alta Moda – Couture Design

  • Accessories and Jewelry Design
